No Nasties water beads are non-toxic, easy to use and encourage children to learn through sensory play, using hand-eye coordination - they are "slippery little suckers!"
They are teeny tiny little beads, about the size of a poppy seed before they are soaked in water after which they grow approximately 150 times their original size.

How to Use
To grow them, you simply put them into a large bowl and cover with 5 cups of water and watch them expand over the next 5 or so hours. PRO-TIP - Use warm/hot tap water for faster growth.
One they have grown, drain away excess water and voila, you have a bowl of slippery, colourful, bouncy, ball fun!
Littlies (not for use under 3 years)
Colour sorting, water play, counting, colourful playground (in a bowl), pretend cooking, sensory play, fine motor skills, bouncing, rolling, fairy gardens, make a fairy rainbow, in the bath (remember to sieve them out before you let the plug out!)
Bigger Kids

I LOVE the feel of water beads! Full disclaimer, they are addictive to play with! In a gorgeous glass bowl on the bench, they are pretty and colourful and the feel of them is such a stress release. Dip your hand into a bowl of these and they feel amazing!
Our water beads are biodegradable, simply put them in your garden when you are finished and cover with soil.
Water Beads Precautions & Safety Information
These polymer water beads are Non-Toxic and 100% Biodegradable. These should be treated as water and not allowed in contact with moisture-sensitive surfaces or electrical appliances. Do not keep the expanded product in direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years at all times – May present a choking hazard.
Keep unexpanded water beads away from children under 6 years as they present an ingestion hazard.
Do not swallow or eat this product or soaking water.
Do not dispose of water beads down the drain, simply place them in the garden. Our water beads are biodegradable so simply put them in the garden and cover with some soil - do not place in fish tank or waterways.
Our water beads are non-toxic but are not suitable for human or animal consumption. - they are not a food product. We recommend washing your hands thoroughly before and after contact and to keep the water beads as clean and hygienic as possible, rinse off with water mixed with a little hand sanitiser once every few days.

Needs better safety warning
I bought these for my three year old (says 3+ on packaging) and she had a good time playing with them, however after a quick google I was horrified to learn that these are really dangerous if swallowed and can expand so much inside the intestines that it causes a blockage which can even lead to death. On the website it says not to give to children under 4, contradicting the packaging, and there was no warning about the potentially serious dangers. I really feel that parents need to know the risk so if a child swallows one, they can get them straight to the ED, based on the info given I would have thought nothing of it if that had occurred.

Hi Holly Thank you for your feedback. I can assure you that our water beads meet all the legal (and go above what's required) safety labelling requirements for both Australia and NZ . I can see where your confusion came from as there was a typo on the website one one page that did say not for under 4 years. All other pages correctly state 3years+ I have now corrected the error to avoid any further confusion. Regards Stacey

Great however mouldy
Our kids have loved playing with their unicorn bubbles however we have had trouble with the balls going mouldy. Perhaps the way we have stored them and lack of proper cleaning.

No Nasties Kids NZ
Hi Fliss Glad the kids had fun, sorry to hear your Unicorn Bubbles went mouldy. It is really important before storing them that they are cleaned and then put into a clean air tight container. As we know little ones tend to go from one thing to the next and if there is any bacteria on them they can go mouldy due to being mainly water and not having synthetic preservatives in them. My process is to throw them in a colander, rinse with some dishwashing liquid and then pop them into a glass jar with lid.
